Service Learning
Community service is an integral part of the NDE community, in keeping with the school's mission of developing the whole child.
Service Learning at NDE
Throughout the school year, students at NDE partner with a variety of local community organizations to support those in need. Each grade level participates in service projects that benefit agencies such as Samaritan House, the SPCA, U.S. Armed Forces Veterans, Toys for Tots, and more, helping students develop compassion, generosity, and a strong sense of community responsibility.
In addition, 8th grade students design and carry out their own Christian Service Project. This capstone experience allows students to serve the community while incorporating their individual interests and talents. Each project is thoughtfully developed to reflect and celebrate the NDE Hallmarks while making a meaningful impact beyond the school.
Each class participates in service activities throughout the year that help support people in need and give students opportunities to make a positive difference in their community.
