Clubs & Extracurriculars
At Notre Dame Elementary, learning extends beyond the classroom through a variety of clubs and extracurricular activities that inspire curiosity, creativity, and leadership. Students can explore their interests in STEM through Robotics Club and AMC 8 Math Club, develop critical thinking and public speaking skills in Mock Trial, express their creativity in Yearbook Club, or take the initiative to start a new club based on their passions.
Robotics Club
The NDE Robotics Club gives students the opportunity to dive into the exciting world of robotics, coding, and engineering. Through hands-on projects, teamwork, and problem-solving challenges, members design, build, and program robots to complete tasks and compete in friendly competitions. Whether they're beginners or experienced builders, students develop critical STEM skills in a fun and engaging environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and innovation.
AMC 8 Math Club
The AMC 8 Math Club at NDE challenges students to think critically, solve complex problems, and deepen their love for mathematics. Designed for students who enjoy math and want to sharpen their problem-solving skills, this club prepares participants for the AMC 8 (American Mathematics Competition 8)—a prestigious national competition for middle schoolers. Through engaging puzzles, strategies, and practice tests, students build confidence, mathematical reasoning, and a spirit of perseverance in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Yearbook Club
The Yearbook Club at NDE gives students the opportunity to capture memories, tell stories, and design the school’s yearbook. Members take on roles in photography, layout design, writing, and editing, working together to create a meaningful keepsake for the entire school community. Using Canva, students learn the fundamentals of graphic design, developing skills in visual storytelling, typography, and digital layout. Through this creative and collaborative process, they also build teamwork and leadership skills while documenting the moments that make each school year special.
Mock Trial Club
The Mock Trial Club at NDE introduces students to the world of law, public speaking, and critical thinking through simulated courtroom trials. Hosted by Notre Dame High School Belmont, the program gives students the opportunity to analyze cases, develop arguments, and present them in a mock courtroom setting. High school mentors from NDB work closely with our students, training and guiding them through legal procedures, case strategy, and courtroom etiquette in the weeks leading up to the competition. This unique experience helps students build confidence, teamwork, and persuasive speaking skills in a fun and engaging environment.
