Welcome to NDE Preschool!

Thank you for your interest in our school! Our full-time preschool program is designed for children ages 3-5 who are fully potty trained. We offer two classrooms with a total capacity of 30 children, divided into a Preschool program for 3-4-year-olds and a Transitional Kindergarten (TK) program for those heading to kindergarten next fall.

We’re excited to share that we are currently at full capacity for the 2024-2025 school year. Our play-based curriculum is designed to prepare children for kindergarten, emphasizing social-emotional learning and aligning with our 7 Hallmarks. Our approach nurtures the “whole child,” focusing on academic, emotional, and spiritual growth.

Our 11-month program runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with extended care available until 6:00 PM. Snacks are provided, and lunch is available to purchase through the ChoiceLunch app.

If you’re interested in enrolling for the 2025-2026 school year, we’d love to show you around! Tours start in September on Wednesdays from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. If this doesn’t work for you, just let us know, and we’ll arrange a convenient time.

We look forward to hearing from you and welcoming your family!

Preschool program focuses on Mastery of following skills

  • Self-Help and Confidence Building: We encourage independence and self-assurance through daily routines and activities that empower children to manage tasks on their own.

  • Early Communication: Through interactive lessons and play, children develop strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills, laying the groundwork for effective expression and understanding.

  • Fine and Gross Motor Skills: Our activities are designed to enhance both fine motor skills, such as hand-eye coordination, and gross motor skills, promoting physical development and coordination.

  • Inquiry and Decision-Making: We foster curiosity and critical thinking by encouraging children to ask questions, explore their environment, and make informed decisions.

  • Spanish Language Introduction: Children begin to acquire Spanish language skills, gaining exposure to new vocabulary and basic conversational phrases.

  • Appreciation of Hallmarks: We instill an understanding and appreciation of our core values—honoring dignity, embracing diversity, committing to service, and nurturing holistic development—through age-appropriate activities and discussions.

Transitional Kindergarten program focuses on Kindergarten Readiness

  • Building a Strong Early Learning Foundation:
At Notre Dame Preschool, we focus on nurturing the whole child by providing a well-rounded early education. Our curriculum includes Language Arts, Phonics, Social Studies, STEM, Art, and Music, designed to spark curiosity and a love for learning. Children develop early literacy through engaging activities in Language Arts and Phonics, while Social Studies introduces them to basic concepts of community and culture. STEM activities encourage hands-on exploration, laying the groundwork for future learning. Art and Music classes foster creativity and cognitive growth.

  • Fostering Social and Emotional Development:
Social and emotional growth is central to our preschool program. We create a supportive environment where children learn social skills like problem-solving, sharing, and effective communication. Through guided play, they expand their vocabulary, understand themselves and others better, and build self-esteem. Our approach ensures that each child feels valued and secure, preparing them for a smooth transition to the next stages of their education.
