Embracing Innovation: Introducing Enhanced Curriculum for Preschool and TK at Notre Dame Elementary & Preschool

Notre Dame Preschool takes great pride in celebrating the success of its enhanced preschool and Transitional Kindergarten (TK) curriculum, introduced in 2023. These innovative programs have already demonstrated significant growth in the children, enriching the school's holistic approach to early childhood education.

Central to this success is the implementation of "Three Cheers" by Savvas, a dynamic preschool curriculum designed to prepare children for kindergarten through skills-based experiences and purposeful play. This engaging program integrates quality children’s literature with multisensory activities and interactive digital content, fostering a love for learning from the very beginning.

Alongside "Three Cheers," NDE introduced the acclaimed "Handwriting Without Tears" curriculum, which has transformed handwriting instruction into an enjoyable and accessible experience for young learners. This multisensory approach has not only improved students' fine motor skills but also enhanced their confidence in expressing themselves through writing.

Additionally, the "Friendzy Social and Emotional Learning Program" has played a pivotal role in nurturing students' social and emotional development. This comprehensive program equips students with essential skills such as self-awareness, self-management, responsible decision-making, social awareness, and relationship skills. By embedding these competencies into daily learning, NDE has created a supportive environment where students thrive academically and emotionally.

The results speak volumes: NDE has witnessed remarkable growth in its preschool and TK students, evident in their increased engagement, improved social interactions, and enhanced academic readiness. As NDE looks ahead to the new school year, the commitment remains strong to build upon this foundation of success, ensuring that every child receives the best possible start to their educational journey.
