Notre Dame Elementary School currently offers the following after school clubs:
Lego Club
Each week, students will participate in a hands-on Lego Challenge. We will begin by looking at students’ creations from all over the world who responded to the same challenge. This, as well as a short educational video will inspire their Lego Challenge creations.
Spanish Club Students will get the chance to experience hands-on activities promoting Latin culture. We will learn different types of games, dances, foods, arts and we will make our own fun Piñatas!
Technology Club Students will get the chance to create their own websites and games, master green screen, photography and video production, create their own story books and posters, and program their own animations. All skill levels welcome
Choir Club Our goal is to sing at the school masses and events, showcasing the talents and teamwork of our students. Along with liturgical music, we will explore different genres of music. Music is a major part of a child’s education – promoting self-discipline, collaboration, public performance, and striving for excellence. As the students sing together, they will work toward unity and a common goal.
Gardening Club Beginning this fall, students can participate in an 8 week after school gardening elective. Once a week, students will learn about the importance of fresh fruits and vegetables, engage in ways to help the environment and have a hands on experience planting a garden in their own school yard. These lessons are cross-curricular to support Kindergarten - 5th grade learning. Some topics include: composting, a healthy meal plan and nutrition. Students who are in kindergarten to 5th grade are welcome to sign up! Any questions, please contact Mrs. Godfrey.
Chess Club The NDE Chess Club is open to all Notre Dame Elementary School students interested in learning chess tactics, strategies, and check-mating skills. Students practice tournament play and compete against local schools. Students meet once a week.
