Notre Dame Elementary is a member of the Peninsula Parishes School League (PPSL). The purpose of the PPSL is to create an atmosphere of cooperation, friendly competition, and good sportsmanship among the San Mateo County Catholic schools.

Students in 4th grade sports will participate in a "training league". Score is not kept during game, with a focus on skill development.

All teams are parent coached. Parent coaches are required to take the "Shield the Vulnerable" online course. All coaches are also required to be "Live Scanned" (finger printed) through the SMCOE.

Fees are charged for each sport to cover the cost of renting sites for game locations. Uniforms are issued by NDE at the start of each season and collected at the end of each season. ​
