Once your application is reviewed, evaluation forms will be sent to your child's current teacher, completed, and then confidentially returned directly to NDE Admissions.

Assessment and Shadow Day

Kindergarten Applicants:
You will be scheduled for an in-person assessment in early February, administered by our Preschool Director and Kindergarten teacher. This assessment covers the key fundamentals essential for success in Kindergarten.

1st-8th Grade Applicants:
You will be contacted to schedule a 'Shadow Day' for your child. During this day, your child will join a regular school day with their corresponding grade, participating alongside current students to experience the classroom environment firsthand. Following a 'Shadow Day' will be an assessment scheduled in early February. The assessment will evaluate key fundamentals in English Language Arts and Math relevant to that grade level.

Family InterviewParents and their child will meet with the Principal and Admissions Director to discuss how NDE can be a great fit for their family and address any questions or concerns. A member of our admissions team will reach out to schedule this meeting.

Decision:

Decision letters will be sent electronically. If accepted, in order to secure your child’s spot, a non-refundable registration fee is required and must be submitted by the deadline provided in the acceptance letter.

Kindergarten Applicants: February 14, 2025
1st - 8th Grade Applicants: February 21, 2025
