Who We Are
Welcome to Notre Dame Elementary (NDE), a small, independent, co-ed Catholic school located in Belmont, California for students in preschool through eighth grade. We believe in the power of a nurturing, connected environment designed to help children become lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and well-rounded human beings. We encourage development of the whole child through our specialty class offerings, including art, PE, Spanish and music; our athletic programs, which includes baseball, volleyball, basketball, and track and field; and opportunities for students to participate in community service activities and student leadership. We are open for in-person learning with space available in all grades.
Notre Dame Elementary is rooted in the educational tradition of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, who founded the school in 1851. We take a personalized approach to learning and create a school community that makes students feel safe and at ease. We are supportive of individual needs and recognize that every child has their own unique potential. We feel fortunate to be their guides and give them the stable school environment that serves as a solid foundation for reaching, growing, and becoming all they can be.
We invite you to read this welcome message from Notre Dame Elementary Principal, Kathleen Jeremiassen.
