Notre Dame Elementary Cash Scrip Order Program

What is Scrip?

Scrip means “substitute money”. NDE parents can purchase gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used like cash for everyday expenses such as food and clothing. With every scrip purchase, you earn revenue for NDE. For a list of participating merchants, please click here.

How does it work?

Our scrip center (Great Lakes Scrip Center) purchases large amounts of scrip from grocery stores, department stores, and other retailers. The scrip is purchased with cash up front so participating retailers offer a substantial discount. NDE buys the scrip from Great Lakes Scrip Center at a discount, and re-sells the certificates to families for full face value. The discount (from two to fifteen percent or more) – is NDE’s revenue.

Generally, orders are due the first Friday of each month starting in September.
