The
8th
grade
girls
varsity
basketball
team
won
the
PPSL
sponsored
Ray
Herold
Tournament
this
weekend.
They
defeated
St.
Gregs
in
the
finals
and
they
will
be
bringing
a
very
large
trophy
to
add
to
the
NDE
trophy
collection
on
Monday.
They
started
with
defeating
All
Souls,
OLA
and
Mt.
Carmel
on
Saturday, before winning
against St.
Gregs
in
the
championship
game
on
Sunday.
Everyone
played
very
well,
and
the
coaches
Daryl
Yee
and
Rod
Walters
did
a wonderful
job.
It
would
be
great
if
you
could
mention
this
during
the
morning
assembly.
It
will
give
the
younger
grades
something
to
look
forward
to
achieving,
as
they
admire
the
trophy!
