The NDE Chess Club is open to all NDE students interested in learning chess tactics, strategies, and check-mating skills. Students practice tournament play and compete against local schools. Students meet once a week.
What wonderful chess year at Notre Dame! The students competed in two local school tournaments and improved in their overall standings. The most recent tournament was held on May 2, 2010 at Heather School where students (K-6) participated in 5 games. Students from Notre Dame played challenging games between students from Heather School, Arundal School, Foster City Chess Club, Success Chess, Nueva School, Trinity School, and Castelleja School. Congratulations to all the Notre Dame Chess Cub players!
