The Philosophy of Notre Dame Elementary
Our school is a Christian community in all that the term implies: love of God, love of country, love and respect for one another as children of God. 
Each child is the sum of what (s)he has absorbed and been taught since infancy, combined with his or her own unique set of inborn characteristics. To provide the best possible learning environment, our community must include children, teachers and parents.
It is our goal to ensure that students feel they are loved and respected as valuable persons and children of God. In this setting, students can try and fail, and try again, with the certain knowledge that their efforts are appreciated and that help is available when needed. In this way, self-esteem is maintained and confidence is acquired. Students become lifelong learners, willing to try new things and to not be afraid of failure. This attitude is helpful in the world today, but an absolute necessity in the world of tomorrow.
